Homebrew - English Cider

I had read online about a tannin trick to make cider more like real English stuff. I decided to try this out myself.

Ingredients

  • 2.8 gallons of "Simply Apple" juice
  • 1 lime
  • 2 Tetley tea bags
  • S-04 dry ale yeast

Method

  • Boil 3 cups of water and the juice from the lime.
  • Removed from heat and add the two tea bags.
  • After waiting for 7 minutes, remove the tea bags.
  • Prepare everything else while the lime tea cools.
  • Combine all the things and ferment for at least 1 month.

Brew: 25 Aug 2013, OG 1.044
Bottle: 29 Sep 2013 (35), FG 1.011, ABV 5%
